Today is day 6 of 31 Days of Art.

I bought these apples to give my dog, Molly.  (She eats a cut up apple with her breakfast every morning)  I brought them home from the market, took them out of the bag and dumped them on the counter.

The way the apples fell onto the counter caught my eye.  I loved the way they touched each other and captured the light.  Perfect!! I grabbed them up and headed to my studio to recreate what happened naturally.  Instead of making them look forced in the still life, I just redumped them on a table in my studio.  They seemed to regroup themselves pretty similarly as before without any interference from me.  I was thrilled.

It so happened that six apples stayed together and the rest rolled away.  Six apples for day 6.  An apple a day….

Smiles!!
